Interviewt von G.O.R.E.
G.O.R.E. sind Band der Woche vom 21. bis 27.05.2006 und ihr Job war es, uns zu interviewen.
G.O.R.E.: Why did you started your finnbands.com website? Are the best bands allways from Finland?
Niina: Once in a cold and long winters night I sat in front of my computer, surfing around my four fanpages and got totally bored about too many of them. So I started page number six (4 + my personal page) with the plan to add all the bands I like. I asked some friends to help me. And a few days later it was online. We started with 10 bands or something, there are about 80 now and every day there are more. And is represents the taste of all of us and all of us get to know new bands. That is cool!
First plan was, to add bands from all over Northern Europe but that would have been too much and since we all are fans of the one or other band from Finland, we decided for Finland only.
When Finns are bored, they start a band. When Germans are bored, they do a shitty website.
The best bands are not necessarily from Finland. Personally I like some bands that are from Sweden very much. But Finland has a lot of good bands.
Puschel: Why not? Or should we started a page about Guatemala bands? ;)
Well... not all good bands are from Finland but the most. And itīs our fu**ing duty to list all good bands, before Anna and I are coming to finland and built up a wall, to safe the rest of the poor girls in this world, who are slaves of their desire.
Anna: Oh..this page is about finnish bands? Really? Why did no one told me so? And I was always wondering why I couldn`t talk about Rammstein...
Cat: Hm, it actually was not my idea - Niina had it and she asked me to work with her - i said yes.
I think we started because everyone of us loves Finnish music and we wanted to share "our" bands with the www.
We also want to help Finnish bands to get more establishes in Germany.
Yes, i think so - nearly every band Iīm listening to comes from Finland.
Lepakko: I like a lot of Finnish bands, so my friend asked me to help her with the website.
No, there are also good bands elsewhere, but loads of good bands are from Finland!
G.O.R.E.: Our band's name is obviously a abbreviation of something. So what does G.O.R.E. really mean? or does it mean anything? If you don't know, just make up something funny or clever :).
Niina: Anteeks, en puhu suomea. Good Old Rage Endorphine
Puschel: Hmm i think YOU donīt know it and the name G.O.R.E is just a result of an evening with too much alcohol and NOW you are asking us, because u search the real menaing of G.O.R.E by yourself?! hehe...if thatīs no celver answer i donīt know
Anna: G.etting O.verwhelmed by the R.eally E.xtraordinary girls from finnabnds.com
Cat: i donīt know.. Go On Real Evil... ???
Lepakko: gore---> another word for blood and just some dots inbetween to make it look cooler, but that is no funny or clever explanation...
G.O.R.E.: If your into metal (as you obviosly are), which type of metal you think is the best?
Niina: My personal musical taste is 'shitty glam', which not necessarily means Glamrock ;) Children of Bodom belong into this category e.g. I made my own definition of good music: the stuff I like and I listen a lot of different music. I am not a metal girl, although I have been to Wacken and I liked it and maybe I will go there again next year. Music needs a melody and lyrics are important to me. So it's not only metal, as well rock and yes, glamrock. And to stop blah blah and name a category: let's say melodicsymphonicpowervikingglammetal.
Puschel: pink metal?! *lol* I would say "Schubladen sind fürīn arsch"
Anna: Metal is a livestyle...and as in life, every style of living is interesting and has it`s advantages and disadvantages.
Cat: it depends, if Iīm angry and have to calm down - I listen to songs like "roots bloody roots" from Sepultura, but that's normally not my kind of music. I prefer "shitty glam", I mean glamrock. but I think itīs great because every one of us is listening to different bands (excepting me and Niina) - and so our added bands are very differnt - and I like this. But you asked about metal - and so I would say "new metal" for me.
Lepakko: That's hard to tell, because my basic problem is the categorisation of the different types of metal and I think I have a wide spread of musical taste. I like a lot Power and Death Metal stuff so I'd go for these two.
G.O.R.E.: As you like Finland, do you know any swear-words in Finnish? If you do, which ones? :)
Niina: Lots and my favorite is "persikka" ;) And I think "Scheisse" is very common in Finland.
Puschel: Sure! Swear words are the first words that you learn from a language. But... my realy first word was - vittu (voi vittu) and hmm... pillu << but this was a result of "pure mua, raavi mua, hauku mua!"
Anna: The ones everybody knows: vittu, perkele
now the more special ones: haistattelu, senkin pahvipää, senkin läskiperse with those words I always find friends ;)
Cat: i know words like: paska ja perkele... ja vitun lutka.
Lepakko: I my god, should I really write them down? I know some....Ok so I start: perkele, saatana, vittu, hullu
G.O.R.E.: Do you think that the Finland's and Germany's cultures are similar? In what ways it appears?
Niina: Hard stuff! We all are humans and every human is different to another. It's not a question of nationality but a question of education and circumstances around you. Finland is a very young nation with lots of patriotism. It's still more or less forbidden to be a patriot in Germany. Maybe I am not typical German enough or too much historian to answer this. I was to Hohenlockstedt (Lockstedter Lager) two weeks ago and I nearly started to cry what nobody of my fellow students could understand. So to come to a clue: no, they are not similar.
Puschel: Donīt know, i only know that finish men more complicated than german men...
Anna: There is one thing that we used to have years ago and that you defenitly need as soon as possible..therefore Puschel and I are coming to your country to build up a wall around it...now you are probably think "Why are all this German girls talking about enclosing our country with a wall?"...believe me, this wall-thing is nothing more than self-protection. It`s better for all the German girls...
Cat: wow, difficult. I dont think theyīre similar. Iīve been 5 times in finland and I think the Finns are more relaxed than Germans. Here everybody is everytime stressed, if they have to wait a few minutes at cash - they become very impatiently and angry. I didnīt ever met Finns who have been like this. And the Finns are much kindlier than the Germans. but i can't describe it - Iīm perhaps not able to answer this question - Iīm not really neutral because I love Finland too much.
Lepakko: I think Finnish and German cultures are a bit different. People in Finnland are a lot more relaxed. As German people are especially in those everyday situations, where a German starts to get hectic Finns stay relaxed. And all Finns I met were very friendly and against the cliché very talkative.
Vielen Dank an G.O.R.E., dass ihr den Spaß mitgemacht habt!
